So I decided that it was time once again to "xanga it up." I am going to start by saying that I am never going to try to play in a pit orchestra and take classes at the same time. Not only did I have a test this week but I also had a rough draft paper due in one class and a final draft due in another. With tech week on top of that, the only free time I get is if I stay up really late. Oh well, it'll be over soon I suppose. Besides the musical, I am having a wonderful semester though. After the musical is over I might even be able to practice for my lesson and the various ensembles I'm in. Well I'd write more but it's time for me to learn more about the former soviet union.

So... it's been a while...

My summer so far has been... musical. I have been to three major concerts which are: Bassooner or Later (OSU), July 4th at Blossom with the Blossom Festival Band, and just today I saw the US Air Force "Band of Flight." All three concerts were great although the first was definitely my favorite since it ended with the 1812 Overture played by 28 bassoons and including audience participation. Oh and I also bought an MP3 player! I chose the Sony Sansa e260. 4 GB capacity with picture and video capabilites.

I have also been working at the Medina "retail service center" for Do-It-Best Corporation in the shipping department. The work is pretty hard but the pay is definitely nothing to sneeze at. Thanks to that job, I was able to turn down one of the federal loans offered to me for the next year.

The last thing is that I decided I'll try to double major in computer science and music but I won't declare until later so I can avoid some of the things required of the music majors (which are, frankly, pretty ridiculous).

Anyway, I'd better get going. Maybe I'll post another time before going back to school.. maybe.

So last night one of my teachers became... frustrated.. when I told her that I was a music minor and not a major. This made me seriously think about changing to a double-major in computer science and bachelor of arts in music. The way it looks, I could still get out of here in four years without gaining any overload fees even if I did change. The only problem is that it would be a lot more work on my part, which most likely would not translate well for my grades... Oh well, I have the summer to think about it. In other news, my two regular exams yesterday were both a piece of cake, my bassoon jury went really well, and I passed my piano proficiency. So besides questioning my major choice, yesterday was a great day.

So I was surfing teh interweb and I found this awesome video. I just felt the urge to share it with everyone.

Anyway... band concert tomorrow and I have finally finished all my performances for this semester. Last night was the longest concert ever but the woodwind ensemble I was in did really great so I was happy. Well nose has got an appointment with the grindstone... maybe I'll write again later.

So I decided I would write something. I'm currently just listening to some music... kinda boring... my classes are going to be winding down now but I have to start practicing more... oh well. Anyways, I'm going to a raffle soon so I'll just stop there. Maybe if somebody actually takes interest in what's going on in my life, I'll update more often... or not, you know, whatever.

Well... not much is going on right now... I'm "working" on a paper right now.. and listening to some music that *gasps* isn't listed on Xanga. (Kansas City Brass, "No Strings Attached") I have my busiest day of the week tomorrow and am not looking forward to it. I think I'll make it but you never know. Anyway I guess I should work on my paper some more. Maybe I'll write again after it's done.

Hey look, a new entry! I'm in my third day of classes now and life is pretty good. I'm working for seven hours a week just like last semester. I'm probably going to be as busy as ever this semester since I have 17 credit hours. I have some interesting classes though... like Asian Civilizations. The teacher seems like a fun guy and it'll be more interesting than any Western History class since I had those in high school. Oh well, maybe I'll write more later...

Yeah so it's been a while... I'm almost done with the semester now. Exams are next week. Might be going to the Stagg Bowl. That depends on the team though. The way it looks right now the chances are pretty high. Maybe I'll get to this more often now... or not. Next semester is going to be busy but I'll just have to deal with it I suppose. Well that's about all I guess, maybe i'll update more often.

Well, if you guessed this would be one of those accounts that is randomly updated, you guessed right! Although I might update while I'm at work so that might be every day... if i remember...

Today and yesterday were not the best days ever... I missed a private lesson yesterday and my morning work shift this morning. I blame the lesson on Ryan since he gave me the idea to stay up all of Sunday night. Work is mostly my History of Technology professor's fault. He ended class late, I talked to Ryan, a large group joined us, and then I completely forgot about work. Oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes. I'll probably call my private lesson teacher tonight to apologize and see if I can work out a lesson time tomorrow and just say I was sick for work... which isn't completely false since I was eating undercooked fries in the cafeteria.

We also got most of the responses to bids for new members for KKPsi. We've gotten 9 replies out of 11 bids saying yes. The other two bids have not been replied to yet either way but even if they both say no, this new inductee class will be the biggest for a long time. We had a cookout with at least 3 people missing and there were still 19 people there! I didn't get to stay very long because of my evening work shift but I still got some food so I'm okay.

Today's entry definitely helped me to get through my work shift but don't expect many more entries like this. I just got on a roll. It might never happen again. Life is not easy but not hard so I guess I'll keep this blog... for a while anyway.
